Why Next.js and a headless CMS
A headless CMS separates content from presentation. Editors work in a clean interface, and the website pulls content through an API and renders it as fast static pages. The result: pages that load in under two seconds on mobile, no plugin updates, and a much smaller attack surface than a classic WordPress installation.
A recent example
For the Hockenheim Cricket Club we built a bilingual Next.js 16 and Sanity website with news, fixtures, a photo gallery, an academy timetable and contact forms. Committee members update everything themselves in the Studio. Lighthouse mobile scores: 100 for accessibility, best practices and SEO on every page.
SEO that is built in, not bolted on
Every page we build ships with unique titles and descriptions, canonical URLs, hreflang for each language, structured data (JSON-LD), an XML sitemap and dynamic social-share images. German pages get German URLs, so they can rank for German searches. If you are moving from an old site, we map every old URL to a 301 redirect, so you keep the rankings you have earned.
GDPR without a wall of cookies
We self-host fonts, use cookieless analytics and load maps, videos and booking widgets only after the visitor agrees. Often the result is a website that needs no cookie banner at all, except for those optional embeds. Our GDPR checklist for German company websites lists every point.
